Twelve years to the day after leaving the Navy, Grant received an offer from Putnam to acquire his debut novel, The End of Enemies, which was chosen as a finalist nominee for the 2002 Minnesota Book Award in Popular Fiction.



His eagerly-anticipated second Briggs Tanner novel, The Wall of Night, hit the book stands in March of 2002, and his third novel, An Echo of War, came out in July of  2003.

He wrote the Briggs Tanner series. He first co-authored with Clive Cussler Spartan Gold  which reached number 10 on the New York Times Hardcover Fiction Best Sellers list.


Grant lives in Colorado with his wife, where he is working on his next novel: The Kingdom to be released June 2011.
